Multnomah Falls poster – charity hike event

I was asked to produce a poster advertising a group hiking event in support of the Friends of the Columbia Gorge. Donors were accompanied by local naturalists and historians to provide context and discussion along the loop trail that passed by Multnomah Falls, over Devil's Rest lookout, and back down to Wahkeena Falls.

The poster was designed as an 11" × 17" sheet that could be easily reproduced at a local copy shop without the high costs associated with a large offset print run.

This poster was designed in Adobe Illustrator with hillshade rendering and coloring applied in Photoshop. Multiple hillshade resolutions were combined to highlight the steeper and more rugged terrain immediately surrounding the Columbia River. Torn paper effects were applied to the top and bottom of the poster.
